Swollen feet can be painful. Swollen feet (oedema) is commonly seen during pregnancy. A swollen foot may be caused blood vessel blockage, lymphatic blockage, or trauma from an injury. This can be caused by an underlying condition and difficult to pinpoint on your own. Swelling is common in pregnancy, particularly in your feet, ankles, wrists and fingers.
